Mr. Grimes

I will be playing 'Mr. Grimes' in the upcoming production of Pompadours and Poodle Skirts. He and his wife are representing the graduating class of 1933 at the homecoming. I get to dance a foxtrot (imagine me pretending to jump for joy and you get my feelings about that bit).

I need to get my ads sold and the money in by Tuesday (only Tues. because we don't have school Monday). I need to raise $250. The bum thinks it's possible to that over CHRISTMAS BREAK! NOBODY HAS MONEY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON! THEY'VE SPENT IT ALL ON GIFTS AND OTHER THINGS! So Tuesday I'll be taking in an ad from Grandma and two checks with 'HOLD' written on them so that he doesn't cash them (they'll be stand-ins for the ad[s] I'm getting in the mail).

I'm looking forward to the Little Shop of Horrors auditions. Mr. Steele asked me the other day about who I was trying out for. I told him (in order) Seymour, Mr. Mushnik, and Orin. He said, 'Good, we're on the same track.' I need to work on a character voice for each of them. It won't be that hard considering that the show is made up of steryotype characters, each with it's own steryotype voice. It'll be fun to see how the auditions go.

Well, nothing more to say right now. I migh pop in later and do some more ramblings. Who knows, I might review the 4-hour Titanic movie I'll be watching tonight while I'm watching it.

Cluedo

I love the Clue(do) board game. It was a TV series for a while in the UK. Here's a clip:

Nice, isn't it?

We held auditions in Musical Production class for Pompadours and Poodle Skirts. It is the stupidest thing I've ever auditioned for, but it's meant for a very young audience, so I just deal with it. The cast list should be posted tonight or Monday. I auditioned for Wilbur (the awkward boy). He and Bertha (the awkward girl) get the show's love song Star Boy, Star Girl, Star Love.

Today is my dad's 55 birthday. I sent him an e-card through Hallmark.com. I find it saves me both time and money to just use e-card whenever I need to get someone a card, rather than go to the store and stand there for hours trying to find the 'perfect card.' Her wanted to go see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today, but the family is coming over so we're going to try to go next Sunday.

Thank God his birthday is on a Sunday this year. His only day off is Sunday and it's usually spent catching up on chores that have to be done. Today is his day to relax and enjoy and I hope he does so.

www.broadwayworld.com has become my new favorite Broadway site. It has awesome video previews and a great forum. I'm adding it to my favorite links.

I hope that I can start putting in daily entries, no matter how short/long they may be.

I got an antique upright piano for Christmas. It's wonderful. I'll have to have my cousin videotape me playing Memory and put the video here so you all can hear it (I can't guarantee that you'll see me, but you will see my fingers).
